Bravecto (fluralaner topical solution) is an effective and long-lasting solution designed to manage and prevent a variety of external parasite infestations.
- Active Ingredient: Each 1 mL of solution contains 280 mg of fluralaner.
- Target Parasites: It kills fleas (including fipronil-resistant fleas), kills and controls ticks, and treats ear mites (Otodectes spp.).
- Action Time: It starts killing fleas within 8 hours and over 90% of ticks within 48 hours of application.
- Duration of Efficacy: A single dose provides immediate and persistent protection against fleas and ticks for up to 3 months.
- Additional Benefits: It can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).
Application Guide
The application process is designed to be simple and mess-free:
- Open the Pipette: Hold the pipette upright by the base or the cap. Twist the cap one full turn to break the seal; the cap does not come off.
- Position the Cat: Ensure the cat is standing or lying with its back horizontally.
- Apply the Solution: Part the fur at the base of the skull. Place the pipette tip vertically against the skin and squeeze gently to apply the entire contents. For cats over 6.25 kg, apply in two spots: the first spot at the base of the skull and the second one between the shoulder blades.
- Prevent Licking: Ensure the product is applied to an area the cat cannot easily lick. If treating multiple cats, separate them until the application site is dry.
