NEXGARD contains afoxolaner, an insecticide-acaricide for oral treatment and prevention of flea, tick and mite infestations of dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older, for one month following a single administration. The ingredient afoxolaner targets and kills adult fleas before they can lay eggs. NexGard is available in four sizes of beef-flavored, soft chewable for oral administration to dogs and puppies according to their weight.
